Jim Risoleo is the president and CEO of Host Hotels & Resorts (NASDAQ: HST), an S&P 500 and Fortune 1000 company, and the world’s largest lodging real estate investment trust and owner of luxury and upper-upscale hotels. With over 35 years of extensive finance and real estate experience, including more than 27 years at Host, he has held senior positions leading acquisitions and investments, and built and run an international hospitality real estate business unit spanning the United States and Europe. In 2017, he became president and CEO of Host and joined the board. Previously, Mr. Risoleo was vice president of development at Interstate Hotels Corporation and senior vice president of commercial real estate at Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Mr. Risoleo graduated from Duquesne University School of Business with a bachelor’s degree and from Duquesne University School of Law with his Juris Doctorate. He holds bar admissions to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

A widely respected real estate and hospitality thought leader, Mr. Risoleo navigates the strategic, governance, and operational complexities of large organizations, leveraging global experience and financial insight to foster trusting relationships. He has served as an independent director of Griffin Realty Trust and Cole Office & Industrial REIT. He actively contributes to the advancement of the industry through his roles with the American Hotel & Lodging Association, Nareit, and the U.S. Travel Association’s CEO Roundtable, as well as other influential industry and civic forums.
